Blythewood students participate in SC State Fair art show
October 28, 2019
Twenty-five Blythewood visual arts students entered artwork in the 2019 South Carolina State Fair competition. Their artwork was displayed for the duration of the fair in the Cantey Building on the fairgrounds property.
Hannah Herbig won 3rd place in the Photography division. Hannah stated, “I was shocked that I won, and that it actually got as much recognition as it did. It was just a photo that I took, and I didn’t think people would like it as much as they did.”
Media Arts teacher Gina Taylor was excited about the number of entries. ¨We are so proud of our Blythewood art students and their accomplishments. It was so great to see their work at the fair,” she stated.
You can see this year’s entries on the 900 hallway at Blythewood High School.

THIS WAS SO AWESOME! I didn’t know that there was an art show at the State Fair. I also didn’t know that my art was there, until I went and saw it. It was so cool and exiting to see all the different art from all the visual art classes. It made me reflect on all the art I did over the years in Blythewood High. 🙂
