Varsity Head Coach Kelly Edrington stated, “We still have a lot of work to do, but considering all of the changes we’ve had to make to the routine lately, I’m very proud of the team and their performance last night. I’m hopeful that they will keep the same energy I saw last night so we can continue improving and be ready for our next competition on Saturday.”

This was Varsity’s first time competing in their new uniforms, and it made a major difference in their energy and confidence on the mat, helping them to bring the first place trophy back to Blythewood.

Freshman Laura Lucas who is a base on the Varsity team was very proud of her team’s performance on Wednesday night. She said, “I am proud of my team and how far we have come and am excited to see what the season holds for us.”

Blythewood Cheer has many more competitions this season. On Saturday, October 26th Varsity and JV will be at Irmo High School. Varsity competes at 3:08 in the afternoon and JV competes at 11:49 in the morning. Come out to support the Bengals!
